Application / Service Engineer / Technical Specialist


Description:
  • Responsible to provide technical support to customers using 24 hrs service line or cost effective site visit if required.
  • Trouble shooting as required on customer premises.
  • Prepare all customer technical documentation i.e. Installation manuals, Operation manuals, product spec, data sheets, application guides, marketing brochures, training manuals etc.
  • Set up and maintenance of a Dallas NOC center. Responsible for creating remote site connections, provide periodic site reports/recommendations to customers and maintain NOC Center data base.
  • Makes strategic recommendations during product planning stages.
  • Performs assessment of competitive products for market positioning.
  • Technical/Product support to sales, marketing and other departments
  • Create effective sales tools and data bases on an ad hoc basis
  • Attend trade shows as required.
  • Other tasks as required to support customer base, sales, marketing, production and engineering
Skills and Requirements:
  • Education
    • BSEE degree and/or Business degree. Will accept equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, with 2+ years in power supplies. 2 - 5 years of sales experience, and 2 - 5 years of marketing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the AC-DC, DC-AC power supply market for Telecom/Utility and Industrial market
  • Ability to understand power supply technology specifically, rectifiers, inverters and battery chargers.
  • Possesses excellent analytical skills; has used various forecasting techniques and performed statistical  analyses
  • Experienced in  analyzing competitive product information
  • Computer-literate in the use of databases, spreadsheets and AutoCAD.
  • Possesses excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Has experience in developing and presenting sales training programs
  • 50% travel is required.
  • Has a career background within the Power industry.
